This adapter kit will only fit Hayward / Pentair salt cells.

Q:
I read somewhere that I would need to get a core model for twice the size of my pool. I have a 22k gallon pool so with that logic I would need a core55. Also is there anything else I need to hardwire into my existing timer or should I get a new timer?

A:
Industry recommended salt chlorinator sizing is typically 1.5x to 2x your actual pool size. The CORE model can plug into a standard 110V outlet, or wire directly into an existing timer.

My system is currently plumed for a Pentair 520555 IntelliChlor IC40. would this adapter kit work? Also would the i be able to mount the salt generator vertically instead of horizontally? Thanks, Gary .

No, for that model you would just need to plumb the system in. It can work vertically.
