Had to just figure a few things out.

I think there should be a different set of directions if you buy a kit with acid tank. I had to just figure a few things out.

For EASIER pool care

I bought the whole package including the chemical automation. It arrived fairly quickly though in multiple packages on two separate days. Hooking up the controller and salt cell was easy. Hooking up the sensors and acid tank was simple enough and actually easier than expected, but it took more time because it seemed very important to ready the instructions carefully (which were surprisingly well-written). Connecting it to the app was very very easy. Calibrating the chlorine and ph sensors took a little time but was straight forward. What took the most time was figuring out the right ORP target. They should tell you when you order it to make sure to start getting your pool completely balanced. The instructions say that your ORP target will be unique to your pool, and that you should get the pool completely balanced and then get an ORP reading and make that the target and then the system will take it from there. Well, easy enough to say but that added a couple days to the process. BUT - once I set the ORP and the pH targets, it truly has taken over and I have watched the app reporting every day for a few weeks that with zero effort the pool balance has stayed spot on. Keeping the chlorine and pH balanced was basically everything I ever struggled with, so if you want truly easier pool care, then in the end this system is worth every penny.
