This bypass cell (pass-through cell) is a dummy part or blank spacer that allows water flow from the pool pump to continue when the actual Electrolytic Salt Cell has been removed from the plumbing. This is often used during Cell cleaning, chemical maintenance, pool start-up, cold-weather operation / winterizing, pool repairs, and more. Fits CircuPool® RJ+Series models (3rd generation), Universal-Series and Si-Series models. Also fits Hayward® Goldline® AquaRite®, SwimPure Plus®, AquaTrol®, Aqua Rite Pro®, Aqua Logic®, and more.*

NOT COMPATIBLE with other CircuPool models if not listed above.

Q: Will this bypass cell fit a Circupool Core 35 salt generator?

A: No, it would be too long. This item is only used with RJ+ models (3rd generation), Universal and Si models.

Q: I have received two of these cells from a CircuPool dealer and both of them will not thread onto my CircuPool RJ60+ union collars. They will thread onto the cleaning stand. Has CircuPool changed the suppliers recently, or changed the threads on one or the other?

A: No, the threads in reference for such cells, unions, collars, stands have been an industry standard for decades. From your description, is it possible your existing collars have damaged threads?

Q: Can I use this to bypass my CORE55 for the winter? Are the threads compatible? I would most likely need to shorten it to fit. I would rather remove the whole unit for the winter than using the cap for the unit and leaving the clear housing that may crack from freezing

A: No, this does not fit CORE models at all. If you are appropriately protecting your pool's plumbing like normal, there isn't necessarily any reason why your clear housing would be any more likely to experience freeze damage than your other PVC piping. That is what the CORE winter cap helps with.

A: No, you would utilize the o-rings that are currently set into your existing plumbing unions. If you need new o-rings, you can find them here: RJ-Plus O-Rings
