The cleaning stand for CircuPool systems (only RJ+ 3rd-Generation, Universal, and Si models) makes the cleaning process quick and convenient whenever you need to remove mineral build up from your salt chlorine generator cell. Includes o-ring to fully seal and cap one end of the electrolytic cell for cleaning. Simply fill the cell with cleaning solution, allow it to soak inside, then easily dispose of cleaning solution.

Worked great. The picture that have isn't correct. The actual item appears much wider that the picture they have that makes it very stable for pouring the acid mix into the generator. I have uploaded the item as received.

Perfect seal

Love that this is so small and acts as a stand too. It has a built in seal so it ensures no leaks and keeps the cell topped up while the acid is working away. This ensures the whole cell is cleaned. I thought it was a little pricey and hesitated ordering - but now I have it, I am glad. Easy to use.

good improvement

Much nicer than a simple cap. Keeps my circupool filter upright during descaling much better than a makeshift prop.

Easy

The cell cleaner was delivered within a few days of my order. I immediately tried it and was very happy with the product since it saved me from filling my bucket. This makes the cleaning easy, using less chemicals. Much thanks

A: Excellent question, but unfortunately no it won't serve that purpose. However, if you go in the website navigation to Replacement Part >> Parts & Accessories >> then choose your model line, you can purchase your systems threaded collar and union that would be needed in such circumstances.

Q: What is the diameter of the threaded pipe this connects to?

A: Your salt cell may utilize either 1.5" or 2" unions depending on what pipe size you have. However, this cleaning stand does not connect to the pipe, it connects to the proprietary threading on the salt system's cell. There is not an off the shelf fitting that would substitute.

Q: Do I need this and how does it work.? is it connected to any thing like water or just a stand?

A: This is a much easier and more convenient way to clean a cell. This item simply screws on to one end of the cell, so you can fill it up with the cleaning solution like filling a vase with water. You don't strictly need it, you can use a large bucket to clean your cell; that requires more cleaning solution and can be harder to handle.

A: Yes, this cleaning stand is compatible with Universal and Si-Series models.

If your cell maintenance light is blinking, it is a reminder to inspect the cell, and you just need to hold down the system status button until the light stops blinking.

A: Yes, the 1.5" is just the size of your plumbing union. The cell itself does not have different thread sizes.

A: The cap is the same size as the end of the salt cell, which screws on to it.
