Flow Switch

This is the 3rd flow switch I have had since buying my system a little over a year ago. The flow switch that came with the system did not work and was replaced with the 2nd flow switch. This is the 3rd, and I am not happy with having to purchase it in such a short time.

Replacement part

Troubleshot with customer service and determined flow switch was not working. It happened within 10 months so I just had to pay for shipping. I thought shipping was a bit high for a 14 ounce part. Replacement part worked. Excellent customer service. This is my second system. My first system lasted 7 years.

Q: For RJ Series can one replace just the flow control switch while keeping the existing T? Just want to know if we can just replace the switch without replacing the T.

A: That is correct. The flow switch is threaded into the PVC Tee fitting, and you can just unscrew it and swap the part easily.

Q: Is there an indication on the item to show direction of flow on the flow sensor? Or is it bi-directional?

A: Yes, there is a raised arrow on the black plastic head of the flow switch. It must be facing along the direction of the water flow.

Q: I just need the switch and attached cable?

A: The flow switch is sold with the PVC fitting, but you can simply unscrew the flow switch from the PVC and screw it into place where a current unit might be.
