Got the upgrade to Rj-30, I have a 16x32 Grecian pool that we had put in 15 years ago and the pool company we used put the Hayward salt system, the first control panel lasted 3 years the next year the t-15 cell went out, to make a long story short counting the original a total of 5 systems in 15 years plus a total of 7 cells! The rj-30 installed easy replacing the Hayward no cutting, 30 minutes I'm up and running. It's only been a week but so for plenty of chlorine running at 50% with no issues

Serious Upgrade

I had a hayward for a few years. The cell had to be replaced 2x and the circuit board once. The hayward cell then died again within a year. I looked at other options and this one was easily adaptable to the hayward. Without any plumbing work, I installed the RJ45 in 30min. It is definitely higher power, I am having to turn it down.

goodbye old goldline

Bought this to replace my 15 year old goldline. The plumbing and the electric was the same and it only took 15 minutes to be up and running again. Looks really well made and I'm happy with it.

I would recommend it

best option

My old CompuPool system died on me and while searching around on the web I found these options. I called tech support for further information. As far as I can see this is the best bang you can get for your buck on the investment. My pool is crystal clear and very low maintenance, recommended!

Q: I have a RJ-45 Plus Salt Generator. I don't know what the winter mode button actually does and what it's usefulness is. The owners manual really doesn't describe it's function or why it should or should not be used.

A: It's simply a one-touch button to decrease your system's chlorine output. For example, this would be used if you have a spell of cold weather, a decrease in pool use, you cover the pool, etc... Otherwise, you would make gradual, incremental changes using the +/- output buttons as normal.

Q: What determins when your RJ+45 Series" goes into it's "REST Cycle"?

A: The chlorine output (power %) setting. The lower the power output, the less hard the system has to work to generate chlorine. The active / rest cycle is nothing that ever needs monitoring or consideration.

Q: What is the recommended GPM flow for the RJ45 system, Core35, and Core55 systems?

A: Salt chlorinators only need a minimum amount of flow in order to ensure that their cell stays filled with water during operation. Everyone's resulting flow rate is different depending on what model pump you have, and more importantly how much "total dynamic head" your setup has to resist flow.

A: Correct, this system's cell can use your existing plumbing fittings. That makes it very quick install.

Q: Just received it, and so psyched to replace my 18 year old Aquarite, it looks great. Can I keep the old flow switch from that system that still works fine, or do I need to swap in the new one. Just looking for simplicity in the install. Thanks,

A: Basically, yes. You can just plug the old flow switch's "phone jack" connector into the new control module, or actually unscrew the old flow switch from the PVC fitting it's in and screw the new flow switch back into your plumbing.

A: Every pool will have unique requirements based on your pool's chlorine demand and the amount of flow required in order to achieve enough circulation (turn-overs through your pool filter). The best approach is to make adjustments, measure the results, and then make further adjustments to the equipment if needed.

Q: What are the dimensions of the electronics box? Does it have a door that has to be swung open? I am concerned about clearances. I now have a Hayward box.

A: The controller is approximately 10" high, 6" wide, and 6" deep. The door swings open to the bottom. You may like the EDGE series - it has a very compact controller as well as an adapter kit that lets it easily replace your old salt system.
