Q:Is this pump Energy Star Certified?

A: Yes it is, this pump is fully Energy-Star certified and it qualifies for any available state or local energy efficiency rebate.

Q:Hi, if down the road the pump needs maintenance or replacing is there a way to replace the pump motor only? Not the electronics? Do you sell these parts?

Q:Is there a separate priming speed/time setting on the pump or do you have to sacrifice SPEED 1 to use for pump priming? The manual is not very clear on this.

A: The pump has 4 programmable schedule modes plus a programmable "quick clean" manual mode. Each programmable modes can have its duration and RPMs customized and fine-tuned if desired. However, its presets work for many people. The Speed 1 preset is 3000 RPMs for 2 hours, which helps ensure that you successfully prime the pump every time and get a little bit of the high-flow circulation that any pool needs. You can its presets under "Using the Default Schedule" in the manual.

Q:Does this pump have onboard freeze protection? If it does not what would you suggest for a freeze protection solution.

A: Yes it does. According to the manual, "If there is not already scheduled or manually set operation when temperatures get down to approximately 40°F, the pump will begin to run continuously at 1000 RPM. The snowflake icon on the display will turn on."

A: Yes, both the motor and electronic controller can be replaced separately. You would simply contact tech support for that.

Q:Looking at the circupool smartflo variable speed pump (1.5 Hp). What is the frame sizing of the motor, 48 or 56 frame?

Q:Is this filter adequate for a pool of 30000gallons and is it for above ground pool?

A: This variable speed pump can be used with both inground and permanently-installed above ground pools. Depending on your pool's needs, a 30k pool is probably the top end of its range to get its full benefits - you may want to consider the next size up (2.0 THP).

Q:I see it is drop-in replacement for IntelliFlo and WhisperFlo, what about SuperFlo? I have a single-speed SuperFlo 340038.

A: Good question. The SuperFlo is physically a slightly smaller pump, so it would likely just take some minor plumbing to install this pump.

Q:Can you check my purchase & determines which Chlorine Generator I have?? I need to know if it has a flow meter. Am considering installing a Variable Speed Pump.

A: Based on your email address, it appears you have the RJ-Classic chlorine generator. That model does not utilize a "flow switch" - you would simply need to have it on a timer that coordinates its run time with your pump's programmed times for water flow.

A: You have a very wide range of control, RPM levels can be set to range from 450 to 3450. You can also find the manual linked in the product description or at www.circupool.com/help
