Q: Can this be used on an above ground pool?
A: The SJ-Series is frequently used on above ground pools. Check the installation manual and your pool's plumbing requirements. If you have questions, feel free to call us at 888-206-9938
Q: Will this work on 24 round above ground pool that is 5 ft deep ?
A: That would be about 17,000 gallons of water. No, you would typically need a salt chlorinator with at least 30,000 gallon capacity or more. You may want to take a look at the SJ40 or RJ30+ model.
Q: what is the difference between SJ & the RJ systems?
No Answers have been submitted yet.
Q: Is this a complete system? How easy is this to install?
Yes, this is a complete system. Installation typically takes about an hour if you can cut & glue PVC pipe and connect it to power. For the easiest installation (as little as 15 minutes), you may like the CORE-Series systems, which also have longer lifespan, longer warranty, and more power: https://www.circupool.com/CORE-Series_c_49.html

Q: IS THIS A 110V UNIT ?
A: It can be used with both 110 and 220 volts. The manual shows you how to set it up for each.
Q: Only number two polarity comes on
A: The system will automatically switch polarities every six hours of run time, there is nothing you need to check or monitor with that.
Q: I have 8,000 gal. Do they make a smaller unit?
Q: need more infro on the system

Q: I purchased a SJ-20 (from Amazon, hasn't arrived yet) it was a panic buy, only nine left yada yada, no chlorine available locally. but I realize now that the unit will likely be undersized as my pool is 30000 gallons. they didn't indicate volume or capacity and I did not find you website until after i made the purchase. So am i wasting my time with this unit or do I have any recourse ( upgrade path? bigger cell etc.) any input would be appreciated.
A: Sorry to hear you're in that situation. The system would likely only be a supplement for such a big pool and would require additional sanitation. Give us a call at 888-206-9938 and we can help discuss what options you might have.
Q: When its generating how do you know its producing
A: As long as you are not getting a red warning light, the system is detecting that it is fully operational.
Can I use this with my existing pool pump?
Do you have it in stock?
A: Yes, this system is designed to be installed to work in sync with your existing pool pump by wiring it to the same circuit as the pump. Current stock levels are displayed just above the Add To Cart button.
Q: When will SJ-20 system be available?
A: For the most up to date availability, please check the product page or call support at 888-206-9938x2. For items that are waitlisted, the waiting list on the product page is the best way to be notified when this item is back in stock.
Q: What is the optimum Salt content for this unit. I think its referred to as Parts per million (PPM) Thank You
A: The range is 3000-4500ppm, ideally 3500ppm.
Q: can it connect to a smart phone?
A: No and there is not really a need to. It's designed to work automatically in sync with your pump every day. It doesn't need frequent attention either.
Q: How difficult is it to convert a chlorine tablet system to the Circupool SJ~20 system? Is the conversion similar to the one you use to convert from one salt system to the circupool product. Thanks
A: Good question. "Converting" just means installing the salt chlorinator and adding salt to the pool. Often this can be done in as little as an hour or two. If you'd like more information about installation, the manual (see description area on the product page) provides more details, and we are happy to answer questions at 888-206-9938
Q: Why is my Salt LED off (not red/green off)? Thanks.
A: Those lights are not always on depending on the system's duty cycle.
Q: Can I use this unit with a variable speed (vs) pump? If so what rpm and duration settings should I use?
A: Yes, this model has a flow switch that helps ensure it runs in sync with a programmable VS pump. Pump RPM and duration is 100% unique to the way your pool equipment is set up and the needs of the pool.
A: Generally speaking, any pump needs to "turnover" all the water through the pool through the filter 1.5 - 2x per day. How that is achieved will depend on the pump's performance, the "head" or effort required to move the water through your unique setup, etc...
Q: Is the SJ20 110 or 240 volt?
A: There are instructions in the manual that will help you connect it to either voltage.
