Q: Who sells and installs the EDGE 25/40 in Orlando Florida Area?

Asked by: Larry - 2/15/2020
A: Larry, we ship direct to you - that is one of the reasons we are able to offer high spec equipment at lower prices. You can have it on your doorstep in a couple days. Installation is DIY friendly, or we recommend a local handyman, plumber, or electrician (unfortunately many pool companies inflate their installation costs). If you have any questions just call us, you can talk to someone very quickly: 888-206-9938

Q: How do I winterize with this system.

Asked by: Paul Buhagiar - 8/11/2021
A: Like the other pool equipment, the cell needs to be protected from having water freeze inside of it. You can see more information on page 12 of the manual.

Q: Can this be used for an 8’x8’ below ground hot tub?

Asked by: Konrad Mlynek - 7/5/2021
A: If that is around 1000 gallons, you would want to ensure you put the salt system on a timer that allows the salt system to run for a small amount of time within your pump's run time. With that small amount of water you could potentially over-chlorinate the water quickly otherwise. You could likely also use a smaller system as well.

Q: I have the Edge40. After a big rainstorm, the system told me that salt level was low. I added a few bags, and got it tested. Showings 4500 level. I had it running on high and boost for about 6 hours, yet my chlorine levels were still extremely low. I then cleaned the cell by the book and ran it again for a few hours with no change to chlorine levels. Still shows no chlorine when tested. I looked at the cell with a flashlight while it was running. I did see the electrolysis bubbles being formed. Yet after a few hours the chlorine levels did not rise. Please advise.

Asked by: Andrey - 8/26/2021
A: This just means you haven't reached "breakpoint" chlorination yet. In other words, pools can need lots of extra chlorination/sanitation after. You haven't generated enough chlorine to meet that need yet. You can only test for "leftover" chlorine, so your pool is still needing every bit of chlorine being generated. After that point, it will build up the residual that you will test for. Simply leave your equipment running on high until that is achieved.

Q: On the edge40 for do it yourselfer does this just plug into a gfci outlet. I cant find the installation instructions I have a small pool maybe 10000-12000 gal.

Asked by: Matt - 10/7/2021
A: You can find the installation instructions (user manual) in the description area on the product page or at www.circupool.com/help

This comes with bare wires, but you could easily add a plug on the end of it. It has diy-friendly setup, but if you want the easiest install you may also look at the CORE35 model.

Q: Why does the boost light flash on my edge pool generator?

Asked by: Gary Sarver - 6/19/2022
A: When the boost mode has been activated, the system will run at 100% output. After 24 hours (of system run time), chlorine output will automatically return to previous setting.

Q: I have a 10,000 gallon pool and want to convert to salt. So many questions. It's been 3 years since I drained and replaced 1/2 the water in the pool due to a repair. Should I consider a water replacement prior to conversion ? Under what circumstances should I consider water replacement? Money not an option...which model should I buy? What size? When does increase size not benefit performance for salt conversion power, cell cleaning cycle time, and cell life? Installation should not be a consideration as all would fit my system. Thank you, Bill

Asked by: Bill - 6/25/2022
A:

Bill, we're happy to assist with questions in detail at 888-206-9938.

Water replacement is not required just because a salt chlorine generator is going to be installed. For pools in general, that is typically only required if it would be more expensive to fix a water balance / cleanliness issue manually than the cost of refilling the pool.

The EDGE-Series you are asking about is a popular high quality model. In choosing a model, these are the general sizing considerations: https://www.circupool.com/5-Reasons-why-you-should-over-size-your-salt-system_ep_94-1.html
