Q:Hello
Show me please by the arrow water flow in and out? thanks

A:The kit itself is not directional. When you install it, one of the components that comes with the salt chlorinator system is a "flow switch". This is the only item that has a direction, and you can easily choose which direction to make it face during installation so that it points in the direction of water flow.

Q:so your answers says no direction but your directions clearly state a direction. Why is that?
Asked by: Carlos
- 4/14/2020
A:When you assemble this kit, you can orient the flow switch in either direction as your plumbing setup requires. This kit has been designed and tested for the flow switch to receive water flow that is not turbulent enough to cause any flow detection problems.

A:In this kit, flow is only determined by which direction you choose to install the flow switch facing. The salt system's instructions will provide information about this.

Q:I have limited amount of space for a vertical installation. What is the height needed for a vertical install? If the unit cannot fit vertically, can it be installed horizontally using this vertical install kit? Thank you.
Asked by: JRB
- 3/2/2021
A:To make it convenient for service, I would give yourself at least 24" of space above your piping. This kit and the RJ cell should work the same in either orientation.

Q:What size pic pipe does the kit fit as shown? My current plumbing is 2", and is the original Hayward, which has fit the RJ45
Asked by: Frank L Parker
- 7/1/2022
A:This kit can be utilized on pools with 2" or 1.5" plumbing. The kit's fittings are 2", so if used with 1.5" plumbing, you will utilize on the kit's inlet/outlet the 1.5" reducer bushings that will come with the salt system.
